Bad Update USB Format Tool
Author: Gruntlord6
This tool prepares a USB drive for the Xbox 360 using the ABadAvatar exploit . It formats the drive as FAT32 and installs all the necessary files to run homebrew software on your Xbox 360. The exploit triggers automatically from modified avatar data on the profile select screen.
Installation Instructions
- Download and run the tool to prepare your USB drive.
- Unplug Ethernet and disable Wi-Fi before powering on to avoid Xbox Live bans.
- Power on the Xbox 360.
- Log out of any profile you are signed into so that the Avatar login screen is shown, insert the USB.
- The exploit will show a notification and change the LED pattern on the console's front panel once all the profile avatars are showing. To verify that the console hasn't frozen during the exploit process, you can scroll in the avatar selection screen with your controller.
- When the Ring of Light turns fully green, the hypervisor is patched. FreeMyXe will patch the system and automatically launch Aurora, XeXMenu, or NAND Flasher (whichever you installed).
The exploit has approximately an 80% success rate but can take a few attempts. If it hasn't triggered, power off your Xbox 360 and try again. Do not connect to Xbox Live until FreeMyXe has finished patching.
